Suffering from what among my friends is known as Sundayitis, that malaise that comes over you when you realise you have to go to work tomorrow, I decided to cheer myself up with something colourful.
Ink sprays, oil pastel, Brusho, and black and white pen to doodle over the top. It was quick, it was messy and it was entirely pointless – and I feel better already. One of the reasons I love these random techniques is that you can spend ages exploring the final piece; every square inch is its own miniature artwork, with different colour combinations and patterns. Some of the ink sprays were Shimmer Mist, containing mica, so there’s the odd copper glint among the colours. Maybe I’ll use it to inspire the colour theme for my next project.
